Application Stack

GitHub deployments

Keep source and build history in GitHub while RustaBase manages the running release, address, health checks, and deployment history.

Create the application

  1. Select New Project, then choose Application Hosting as the project type.
  2. Choose the Application stack before entering Build settings.
  3. Paste a public repository address, or sign in with GitHub and select a private repository.
  4. Confirm the production branch, application folder, build command, and published folder.
  5. Choose a plan and one of the application regions currently available in the console.
  6. Create and deploy the application, then follow the first build from its Deployments tab.

Managed workflow

  • Pushes to the production branch deploy when automatic deployments are on.
  • Pull requests into the production branch create or update previews.
  • The workflow uses read-only repository permissions and pinned third-party actions.
  • Production and preview builds use different deployment credentials.
  • Build settings are downloaded only when available; an application with no variables can still build.

Manual deployment

Select Redeploy to dispatch the GitHub workflow without making a new commit. Turning automatic deployments off stops production-branch pushes from publishing, while manual redeploys, deploy hooks, and pull-request previews remain available.
