1. Who we are
These Terms are an agreement between you and RustaBase (registration details will be published here once available) ("RustaBase", "we"). By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you use RustaBase for an organization, you confirm you may accept these Terms on its behalf.
2. The service
RustaBase provides managed backends built on PostgreSQL, including databases, authentication, storage, realtime, functions, website hosting, the customer console, APIs and SDKs. Features differ by plan and may change over time; we will give reasonable notice before removing a paid feature you actively use.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live.
- Keep your sign-in details and API keys secret. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Your content and data
You keep all rights to the data, code and files you store on RustaBase ("Customer Data"). You give us only the permission needed to host, back up, process and deliver it to run the service for you. We do not sell Customer Data or use it to train AI models. Our handling of personal data inside Customer Data is described in the Data Processing Agreement.
5. Acceptable use
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. We may suspend a project that breaks it, puts other customers at risk, or is required to be removed by law. Where possible we warn you first and explain why.
6. Plans, billing and cancellation
- Paid plans are billed in advance for each billing period. Usage-based charges are billed at the end of the period.
- You can cancel at any time. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Payments are non-refundable, except where the Refund Policy or the law says otherwise.
- Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal.
7. Free plan
The Free plan is provided as is, with fair-use limits. Inactive free projects may be paused after notice. Free and paid projects run on separate infrastructure.
8. Availability and support
We work to keep RustaBase available and secure. Paid plans are covered by our Service Level Agreement; the Free plan has no uptime commitment. Planned maintenance is announced in advance when it may affect you.
9. Open source
The RustaBase server is available under the Apache 2.0 license and the SDKs under the MIT license. Those licenses, not these Terms, govern your use of the open-source code itself. The RustaBase name and logo are trademarks and may not be used in a way that suggests endorsement.
10. Ending the agreement
You can close your account at any time. We may end these Terms if you seriously or repeatedly break them. After closure you have 30 days to export your data, after which it is deleted from active systems and removed from backups on their normal cycle.
11. Warranties and liability
Except as stated in these Terms and the SLA, the service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, RustaBase is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. For important changes we will email account owners or show a notice in the console at least 30 days before they apply.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country where RustaBase is registered, which will be stated on this page. If you are a consumer, you also keep any protections given by the law of the country where you live.
